Yoga Workshop beiVVOO
Discover Katonah Yoga, a method developed 40 years ago in New York by Nevine Michaan. It expands Hatha Yoga with concepts from Taoist philosophy, for example, the "Magic Square".
In this workshop, you will get to know "The Body as a House". Its 3 levels (stability, ability, and vision) and 9 rooms help you to find new depth in your body and build new connections in your neurological system. With the "Golden Thread" and Pranayama breathing techniques, the balance of your hormonal system is restored.
You use the body's geometry to fit yourself into yourself. You will learn to build stable asanas using props such as blocks, straps, and blankets. You will find reference points in the body that improve your posture and orientation.
Amy will guide you and help you to adjust your form. In keeping with the communal workshop style, we will support and help each other. At the end, Amy will lead you through a grounding practice with "Restorative Yoga", which will help you to arrive safely and strengthen yourself.
BIO
Amy began immersing herself in the yoga world in the early 1990s. She holds a Master's degree from UCLA in Dance with a concentration in Cultural Anthropology, and a Master's degree from LMU in Education. She has taught at various institutions in her three home cities of Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Zurich. Amy firmly believes that exploring the connections of body, mind, and energetic forces can lead you to a personal path of realization and healing.
She feels a deep connection with Katonah Yoga and is excited to share this enthusiasm with you.
